This guide is intended to provide a basic overview of Rhode Island state vocational rehabilitation (VR) services from the Office of Rehabilitation Services (ORS). The VR program helps people with disabilities find, get, and keep jobs.

• To help you learn more about ORS services.
• To help you access the ORS services you need.
• To help you to understand your rights and responsibilities in the VR system.
• To help you to make informed choices about employment.
• To help you become a better self-advocate.

Through the Client Assistance Program (CAP), DRRI can provide you with free legal help to apply for ORS services and help you if you already have ORS services.

DRRI’s CAP can also help you apply for services from the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation Tribal Vocational Rehabilitation (MPTN TVR) program and help you if you already have MPTN TVR services.
